To determine if your teen is a candidate for Invisalign® Teen, you will need to schedule a complimentary consultation. Dr. Valeriano will examine your child’s bite and collect x-rays and photos of your child’s teeth and smile. After examining your child and their x-rays, Dr. Valeriano will be able to determine if Invisalign® therapy is the best treatment option for your child. What to Expect
Once it is determined that your child is a candidate for Invisalign® Teen, Dr. Valeriano will develop a customized treatment plan that is sent to the makers of Invisalign®. Subtle changes are built into each set of aligners to gradually move and shift teeth into the proper alignment.
At the initial Invisalign® appointment, we will create a 3D model of your teeth and soft structures in your mouth using the iTero Digital Scanner. The scanning wand gently moves over each tooth in your mouth to collect enough data points to make an accurate image of your teeth and gums. The scan is uploaded to the computer in real-time so you can watch your model being created. Dr. Valeriano will plot the course of your Invisalign® treatment and send the 3D digital model to Invisalign® to fabricate your aligners.
Once your aligners are in, you can begin wearing them immediately. Each set of aligners is usually worn for two weeks, and then you can move on to the next set of aligners in your treatment plan. Dr. Valeriano will give you specific instructions on how long to wear each set of aligners. You will receive several aligner sets at each office visit so that you can progress through treatment without having to come back to the office. We will schedule appointments every 6-8 weeks to check up on you and ensure that your Invisalign is working.
At Valeriano Orthodontics, we want you to have the best results after Invisalign® treatment. The results do depend on your compliance as a patient. Dr. Valeriano will discuss how long you should wear your aligners each day. In general, your aligners should be worn 22 hours a day for optimal results.

Maintaining good oral hygiene (brushing twice daily and flossing every day ) throughout treatment will positively impact your final results.

When you come to our office for a checkup, we will make sure your Invisalign treatment is progressing according to your individualized treatment plan.
